Why two brands?

Reels & Relics is our eBay storefront — that's where we sell. With a top-rated seller reputation, it's how buyers around the country find us when they want something specific.

Northstar Disc Buyers is how we buy. Selling a collection is a different experience than buying one disc, and it deserves its own front door — one that's clear about pricing, transparent about process, and built to make selling effortless.

Why we're different than the scanner apps

Decluttr, SecondSpin, and similar services scan barcodes and spit back algorithmic prices. They miss things — rare anime, Criterion editions, OOP horror, sealed retro games, the kind of stuff a real human notices. They also default to lowballing because algorithms don't care about your collection.

We're the opposite. Every quote gets a human review. We know which Sopranos box set is the rare one. We know that the GameCube long box in the bottom of the tote is worth more than the rest combined. We don't price discs — we price collections.

Why Minnesota

We're based in the Twin Cities and we do free pickups across the metro for larger collections. Minnesota is also home to one of the country's strongest collector communities — physical media never went out of style up here, and we love it.

That said, mail-in is our biggest channel. We send free prepaid shipping labels across the U.S. and turn around payment in 1–2 business days after your box arrives.
